In just one month of the war against Afrin region, the Aleppo24 team managed to document the death of 47 civilians in Afrin and its villages, all of whom were killed by Turkish airstrikes and artillery shelling. Among them were 9 women and 11 children. On the other hand, 13 civilians were killed by YPG artillery shelling on villages in the Aleppo northern countryside. In addition, 5 civilians were killed inside the Turkish territory, all of them were Syrian refugees, by YPG artillery shelling on the Turkish cities and villages near the Syrian border. Concerning the death toll of the combatants, the factions sustained 77 casualties while the Turkish army took 31, all of whom were killed in clashes against YPG. On the other hand, 405 YPG fighters were killed in the ongoing clashes in Afrin region, including 46 YPJ fighters and 8 foreign fighters. . 38 YPG fighters were also captured by Euphrates Shield, including three YPJ fighters.
