Besieged Aleppo city: A staggering number of civilian deaths, amounting to more than 1300 civilians, killed after the end of the cessation of hostilities in the region which the USA and Russia agreed to.
Ten days after the USA and Russia agreed cessation of hostilities, which ended on 19 September 2016, warplanes belonging to the Assad-regime and Russia executed air strikes on the besieged areas of Aleppo city, claiming a large number of civilian casualties, most of whom were women and children.
Since the cessation of hostilities ended, Aleppo 24 has documented more than 289 civilian deaths due to the intensive and aggressive air strikes on the civilians residing in the besieged Aleppo until September 27.
Among the martyrs were 42 women and 57 children, most of whom were pulled out of the rubble. The number of the wounded increased to more than 1100 wounded civilians.
In the meantime, 23 civilians died due to the lack of medical equipment, as many of the last remaining hospitals in Aleppo were filled with an enormous number of wounded civilians recently.
Assad warplanes bombed two hospitals in the besieged city of Aleppo on 28 September 2016, while the Assad forces operating in the region blocked the access of medical supplies to the besieged civilians and the transportation of the wounded, increasing the civilian death toll from the air strike.
