SDF continue to prevent civilians from returning to their villages in the countryside of Manbij

SDF are still preventing the residents of Al Kawkli, Kur Hyuk, Al Hamrah; Al Bughaz, Al Qart and Al Buheij from returning to their homes since they liberated of the villages from Daesh years ago.

Over the past two years, many local tribal dignitaries have mediated hoping to convince SDF into allowing the local families to return to their homes, but all their attempts have gone to no avail, and SDF are claiming that the previously mentioned villages are closed military zones because they are located nearby some areas controlled by the Euphrates Shield.

An Aleppo24 correspondent confirmed recently that the civilians in question have met with commanders of the Manbej Military Council to see if they would find a solution to their issue. However, the commanders said that the order was issued from the central command in Kobane (Ain Al Arab).
