A source within the FSA denied the reports about the FSA receiving stocks of Man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS) in Aleppo city, confirming to Aleppo 24 that the reports remain absolute rumors spread and propagated by pro-Russian and Assad-regime media outlets in order to utilize them as a pretext to escalate the barbaric air strikes against Aleppo.
Since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, sending MANPADS to the FSA has always been a red line for the US government being led by Barack Obama.
The source said, “If we received those MANPADS, you would see them on the frontlines and not the media, as we won’t hide them from the Syrian people who have been waiting for such sophisticated and effective weaponry that would protect them from both, Russian and Assad deadly air strikes.
In other news, Russian and Assad warplanes carried out tens of air raids on the city of Aleppo, mainly on the front lines in the area of Al-Jundul, in synchronization with multiple attempts by Assad forces and loyalists to advance and capture the area. To intensify the pressure on besieged Aleppo, Russian warplanes also struck the water plant in Bab Al-Nayrab which supplies the neighborhoods of eastern Aleppo with water.
