The Russian aircraft support Turkey in the targeting of Daesh in Al-Bab city

The Russian warplanes partook today in the airstrikes against Daesh in the city of Al-Bab in eastern Aleppo countryside. This was also confirmed in a statement released by the Turkish Army on Friday, December 30.  According to the statement, the Russian warplanes carried out three air raids on Daesh positions in the Bab city and its vicinity, which led the organization to sustain 12 casualties.

The Daesh-affiliated Amaq Agency claimed in a report that ten civilians were killed, 3 others were wounded, in airstrikes by the Russian aircraft on the Tadef town nearby Al-Bab.

In other news, the Turkish Army announced the death of one of their soldiers and the wounding of five others in clashes against the organization.

The participation in airstrikes against Al-Bab is the result of the ceasefire in Syria, which the local factions signed with Russian and Turkey on Thursday.

The Russian warplanes are using the Humeim Base in the countryside of Latikiya to conduct airstrikes on the city of Al-Bab and surrounding areas.

On December 26, Turkey demanded from members of the Coalition to provide air cover for the infantry in eastern Aleppo who are besieged the Bab city.

Clashes are ongoing between the Euphrates Shield and Daesh on the vicinity of Al-Bab in an attempt to force the organization out of its main stronghold in Aleppo.
