The SDF prevent the Euphrates Shield from advancing to their held areas in northern Aleppo

For the second time in a row, the Euphrates Shield forces, backed by Turkish tanks, continue to attack the SDF-held areas  in rural Mari’ and Tel Rifaat. Until now, the SDF have thwarted all the attacks launched by the Euphrates Shield and they are still holding firmly to their territory.

Yesterday, they forced the Euphrates Shield factions to retreat from the positions they captured earlier.

The Turkish army has brought in more tanks which were seen in the city of Mari’ as they were heading to the western countryside where they are backing the Euphrates Shield infantry.

On Friday, October 21, the Turkish air force carried out airstrikes on villages like Hassajik, wahshiya and Ummu Hawsh, leading the SDF to sustain death and injuries. During the battle, no Coalition warplanes were present.
